What a wonderful day! My husband’s Nan was a child of the Depression era; a tiny woman that would eat enough for three people at every holiday meal. She would always stop mid-feast, her face full of joy, and exclaim “We eat like kings!”. That phrase has stayed with us over the years becoming a tradition that reminds us just how blessed we really are. Today we enjoyed family, opened thoughtful gifts and, yes, ate like kings.
